We finally made it to the beach in the middle of August. We had a wonderful time and really enjoyed watching Molly experience the beach for the first time. She wasn't too sure about the sand, but slowly warmed up to it. We took about a gazillion pictures, but she was crying in most of them... poor girl just didn't like having her feet sandy! We enjoyed a week of relaxing, spending time with our family and watching Molly experience new things. My mom was able to join us for the trip and what a huge blessing it was to have an extra set of hands to help with Molly. It was Molly's first long car trip and she did great. We stopped several times to let her walk around and stretch those very active legs, but the drive was much more pleasant than I had anticipated.

On our last day, a family had left and left behind a plastic pool. Brandon decided to grab it and take it down to the beach with us. Molly really enjoyed her own personal ocean including a little bucket of sand and water. We were able to put the pool under our umbrella and she had fun playing in the shade.
